We Tasted All 3 Flavors of New Snoop Cereal

A lot of celebrities who otherwise have nothing to do with the food world have launched food and beverage brands in recent years. The Jonas Brothers have a line of gourmet popcorn. NBA player Chris Paul partnered with Gopuff to sell vegan snacks. And Cardi B is using her high profile to spread the gospel of alcoholic whipped cream. This summer, Rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P joined the fray with Snoop Cereal, a venture that seems legit for a few reasons: it’s a partnership with cereal giant Post, the cereals are WIC eligible, and a portion of sales go to Future Bosses, a charity whose goal is to “help tackle homelessness and feed needy families.”

That’s all great, but here at Sporked, the question is always, “How do they taste?” We got boxes of the three flavors that recently hit Amazon and Walmart stores—Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, Frosted Drizzlerz, and Cinnamon Toasteez—and tried them all.

Snoop Cereal Fruity Hoopz

New Product!

Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows

Of the three Snoop Cereals, Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows was my least favorite. The box features Snoop Cereal mascot Captain Ace. Captain Ace is adorable. I’d buy cereal from him any day of the week. But does a Fruit Loops dupe really need marshmallows? I like sweet cereal, but I don’t like my cereal to taste like it borders on junk food. Younger me would have loved Fruity Hoopz, but current me wishes there weren’t so many marshmallows involved.

Frosted Drizzlers

New Product!

Frosted Drizzlerz

Frosted Drizzlerz, which look and taste similar to Frosted Mini Wheats, are quite good! The Mascot of Frosted Drizzlerz is Mr. Polar Bear, number 4 on the K-9 team. Real Tony the Tiger vibes from this dude. As for the cereal, it’s a bit crunchier than Frosted Mini Wheats; with milk, Drizzlerz do a good job of retaining their crunch and the frosting dissolves pretty nicely in milk. These are quite good and might even improve upon Mini Wheats.

Cinnamon Toasteez

New Product!

Cinnamon Toasteez

Cinnamon Toasteez feature Max as their mascot, a dog with eyes that are a bit too human. I don’t like how he looks at me, but that didn’t stop me from loving Cinnamon Toasteez. We happened to have a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch on hand, so I tried them head to head with Cinnamon Toasteez. The Toasteez are crunchier, which I personally like a lot. And Cinnamon Toast Crunch is sweeter, but Toasteez have more cinnamon flavor. All of the Snoop Cereal releases are good, but this is the best, if you ask me. If you’re a fan of cinnamon cereal and you see this at Walmart, give it a shot.
